Decentralized exchange aggregator CoW Swap is rolling out a novel Combinatorial Auctions feature designed to increase transaction throughput by 33%. The upgrade enables solver networks to collaboratively optimize trade routing—a first for the DEX ecosystem.
"The current single-solver model creates artificial bottlenecks," says CoW DAO economist Andrea Canidio. By allowing coordinated solver participation, the protocol reduces latency and improves price execution for traders.
The governance-approved upgrade reflects DeFi’s continued evolution toward institutional-grade infrastructure. As aggregators like CoW Swap mature, their ability to pool liquidity across venues challenges traditional exchange models.
